Build and technology
What matters most is often out of sight.
A beautiful interior only lasts if there is honest construction behind it. So we are glad to show you what the wagon is made of, layer by layer.
Insulation layers
With a thick layer of insulation the wagon warms up quickly and holds the heat. In summer it keeps the heat out.
Load-bearing frame of KVH timber and the roof ribs, spring 2026
- Chassis original Orlican wagon chassis, treated with CHEMOPUR RW U 2094 protective coating
- Base frame 100 × 100 mm beams
- Load-bearing frame KVH timber 60 × 140 mm (kiln-dried, planed structural timber)
- Sheathing 25 mm OSB board
- Windows double-glazed uPVC windows
- Living off the ground no rising damp, mice and other pests find it harder to get in, and air circulates under the floor
Both the facade and the roof are ventilated, so moisture has nowhere to settle and the wood stays healthy.
- Facade 28 mm diagonal timber cladding with a ventilated gap, Belinka Toplasur UV Plus finish in grey
- Roof ventilated PREFA aluminium roofing in anthracite
- Underside insulation XPS finished with acrylic paint
The electrical installation is completely new and built to the standards for mobile living units (ČSN 33 2000-7-717). A valid initial inspection report with no faults was issued for the wagon on 17 July 2026.
With a central four-pole NOARK type A residual current device, the installation meets Czech standards and is technically prepared for German and Austrian regulations too (DIN VDE / ÖVE).
It connects at 230 V through an outdoor 16 A socket (IP54). Internal wiring, cabling and the distribution board are sized so that switching to full three-phase 400 V supply is easy (CYKY 5 × 6 supply, TN-S system).
Technical details
